God-fearing! a word we have quite often heard… we are supposed to be god-fearing, but I never understood why?
My understanding was and is that one would fear God if one has done something wrong, something against the conscious of own’s mind. So does it mean that when we are asked to be “god-fearing” we are actually being told that ‘do something inappropriate / contrary to the principles of justice or law’…
Can’t we for God’s sake be “god-loving” instead?
It’s like a deterrent, more like a non compete, non solicitation clause in our appointment letters
